Scruffy turned up outside some houses one morning, supposedly abandoned the night before. After several days of him not leaving, they contacted me for help. Unfortunately I was full and did not have anywhere I could put him, so he stayed alone on the road for a couple more days. Still nobody helped him, but luckily for him I found him a lovely couple to foster him! I don’t think they were expecting me to ask them to take on such a large pup, but bless them they did!! He has gone from strength to strength in their care.
Scruffy was born approx. 4th January 2021. He looks like he could be an Irish Wolfhound mix?! He is going to be a big boy! When we picked him up he was about four months old and weighed 16 kg. Now at six months old he weighs 21.5 kg. He has the most gorgeous ‘scruffy’, fluffy coat in many shades of grey and black with a few white markings and a beige muzzle. He is stunning and to me looks like a big teddy bear!
This is what is foster mum says about him…. ‘We don’t see many dogs but the ones we have seen at first he was very scared of but then just wants to play. Cats some days he just looks, other days he wants to chase them. I think if he mixes more with both he would be fine. He has a beautiful character and is so, so loving, clever and wants a lot of attention. Loves playing games, learns very quickly. He is house trained. We have left him indoors for a couple of hours while we went for a meal and he was fine. He is getting very strong. He does not normally pull but when he wants to chase something I struggle to hold him back. Overall Sue, he is so friendly, loyal and loving. Great companion x’
Scruffy will need experienced owners only please, and preferably one without children due to his potential size and the fact he hasn’t been child tested.
Scruffy is ready to find his special new home! He has finished his vaccinations.
