Keira was given as a present when she was a small pup. The people who received her didn’t really want her, so they left her to freely wander about the village. Until she started to chase a neighbour’s chickens! Then she found herself on a short chain. Came into season and of course became pregnant! Then they built a cage around her, where she lived in a horrible state. Gave birth to her puppies. We were asked by a neighbour to please help the puppies and take them from their hell hole. Thankfully, the ‘owner’ also gave us Keira too! She was very nervous and had obviously been beaten as she cowered quickly with any sudden movement, but she learnt very quickly that not all humans are horrid. She blossomed before our eyes, bless her.
Keira was born in May 2020. She is a beautiful German Shepherd. Her coat is thick and silky, black and tan, she is stunning! I am a little biased, of course, as I love this breed. Keira is medium in size, quite small for a GS. Kiera really is a beautiful looking girl with a heart of gold. Considering her horrible start to life, she is so loving and eager to please. As she is an adult girl and has not had a good life until now, a home with no children would be preferable. Although, she is wonderful with my grand children, but they are also very dog savvy!
Keira is good with the other dogs, puppies and thankfully cats too! She will chase chickens and sheep! Keira has a nice character but will need an experienced dog family to train her and bring out the best in her. She will need a lot of exercise and mind stimulation. She loves to be with her human, ‘Shadow’ would also have been a good name for her! Loves her hugs and tummy tickles, would be a lap girl if she was allowed. Very clever so will be easy to train.
Kiera has had all of her vaccinations, has blood tested clear and been sterilized. She is so ready to find her special home.
