Angel was found with her 4 siblings in a storm drain in Northern Greece. For those of you who follow our rescue you will be familiar with the Polar Express in December. The rescuer who found them had no where to put them and their lives were sadly in the balance. We stepped in and agreed to take them if she could travel the 5 hours round trip to meet our transporter who was on her way back to Zakynthos. These and another litter of 3 formed the Polar Express and came into our care. All white like little polar bears
Angel and her siblings sadly all came down with parvo and we lost 2 of her sisters Skye and Holly. We did fear this may happen as they was in a storm drain and in our experience this is a red flag for parvo. Angel made it though and is going from strength to strength
Angel was born approximately 20.10.20 and will be a medium / large dog when fully grown we believe. Although she is more petite than her brothers she will be at least the larger size of medium . Currently at 6 months old she weighs 16kg
She is a Greek Shepherd cross mountain dog which is a guardian breed in Greece. Please research Greek Shepherds before applying as these are not for a first time dog owner.
Angel is a confident girl who loves her siblings. She is playful and well behaved which is amazing considering what she has been through already in her short life. She has mainly white, shortish length fur with a one black ear and a mottled ear. Her cutest feature is her freckles on her nose and a few on her legs. She has the double dew claws low down on her back legs which is more or less unique to certain breeds, mainly large mountain dogs. Angel is in a home with cats, although greek cats and very used to dogs so any UK cats would have to be used to dogs already for the best outcome,
Angel’s ideal home will be with someone who has large breed/ guardian/working dog experience. Someone who can dedicate time to socialising and training her as these types of dogs are highly intelligent. Children 10 and over.
Angel has finished her vaccinations and will be ready to travel to her new home mid February onwards
