Angel's Story

Frosty Blue was found with his 4 siblings in a storm drain in Northern Greece. For those of you who follow our rescue you will be familiar with the Polar Express  in December. The rescuer who found them had no where to put them and their lives were sadly in the balance. We stepped in and agreed to take them if she could travel the 5 hours round trip to meet our  transporter  who was on her way back to Zakynthos.  These and another litter of 3 formed the Polar Express and came into our care.  All white like little polar bears

Frosty Blue and his siblings sadly all came down with parvo and we lost 2 of his sisters.  We did fear  this may happen as they was in a storm drain and in our experience this is a red flag for parvo. Frosty made it though and is going from strength to strength

Frosty Blue was born approximately 20.10.20 and will be a large dog when fully grown. He current weight 22kg as of May 2021.

He is a Greek Shepherd cross mountain dog which is a guardian breed in Greece. They are extremely loyal and loving to their family but can be wary of strangers very similar to  the German Shepherd.

Frosty Blue is a confident boy who loves his siblings and all other dogs in foster. He is playful and well behaved. He loves all the other puppies as well as the cats. Two little spaniel pups adore him and follow him everywhere. His foster mum caught him on his back the other day being beaten up by a smaller litter of pups. He loved it and was so gentle with them!!

He has mainly white, shortish length fur with a few brown patches starting to appear on his ears. His most striking feature is his blue eyes, hence his name. Frosty Blue has the double dew claws low down on his back legs which is more or less unique to certain breeds, mainly large mountain dogs.

Frosty Blue’s ideal home will be with and experienced owner who can train him as these dogs are highly intelligent. We are saying children over 10 only due to his size. His foster mum adores him and has even contemplated keeping him herself as he is so special. She also knows he will get a better home in the UK as she has so many of her own plus all the foster pups.

Frosty Blue has finished his vaccinations and is ready  to travel to his new home

Angel was born approximately 20.10.20 and will be a medium / large dog when fully grown we believe. Although she is more petite than her brothers she will be at least the larger size of medium . Currently at 7 months old she is 16kg

She is a Greek Shepherd cross mountain dog which is a guardian breed in Greece.

Angel is a confident girl who loves her siblings. She is playful and well behaved which is amazing considering what she has been through already in her short life. She has mainly white, shortish length fur with a one black ear and a mottled ear. Her cutest feature is her freckles on her nose and a few on her legs. She has the double dew claws low down on her back legs which is more or less unique to certain breeds, mainly large mountain dogs.

Angel’s ideal home will be with an experienced dog owner.  Someone who can dedicate time to socialising and training her as these types of dogs are highly intelligent. Children 10 and over.

Angel has finished her vaccinations and is ready to travel to her new home
