Welcome to Healing Paws Animal Rescue

Healing Paws Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and abused animals on the Greek Island of Zakynthos (Zante). We are committed to providing our animals with the best possible care and finding them loving forever homes.

Every animal deserves a chance to live a happy and healthy life, regardless of their circumstances. We are passionate about saving lives and giving animals the second chance they deserve.

Since our founding in 2011, we have rescued over 2,000 animals. We are a small team, but we are dedicated to making a difference. We rely on donations and volunteers to help us carry out our mission.

If you are interested in helping us, there are many ways you can get involved. You can donate money, volunteer your time, or even adopt one of our animals.

Together, we can make a difference for the animals of Zakynthos.

Here are some of the ways you can help:

  • Donate money to help us cover the costs of food, medical care, and shelter for our animals.
  • Adopt one of our animals and give them a loving forever home.
  • Foster one of our animals until they find their forever home.

Spread the word about Healing Paws Animal Rescue and encourage others to get involved.

Thank you for your support! Together, we can make a difference for the animals of Zakynthos.

Welcome To Healing Paws

We are an exclusive, family-orientated, animal rescue on the Greek Island of Zakynthos (Zante), dedicated to saving the lives of many abandoned animals on the island.

Healing Paws Animal Rescue was founded by a British expat Sue Deeth. In 2011, Sue started rescuing a few stray dogs and cats on the island and, through her network of friends and supporters across the UK, Holland, and Germany, she was able to find loving homes for these unwanted strays. Since these humble beginnings, the support has grown and, to date, over 2,000 dogs, puppies and cats have found their forever families.

Success Stories

"She was so well behave and so very grateful to all who have helped her. Sue had to carry her to her car and put her in her boot and all the while Gypsy was placid and lovely and showed her so much affection which Sue found very beautiful and emotional. Gypsy is now at Sue's making friends with the other rescue dogs and cats and at last enjoying some love, warmth ,food, medication and a safe home environment..."
